Comic Genius

As first posts go, I thought it would be helpful for everyone to get a good idea about the kinds of things I will be discussing on this blog. For the most part, I’ll be discussing comic books and anything comic-related or influenced. That means that one day (on a Friday, for instance) discuss the new episode of Smallville, and that I might also discuss any movie news or topics that are related to comics or have some kind of comic reference to them.

I need to make it clear right now that I prefer DC over Marvel when it comes to comic books. I might at some point go more in-depth about why I prefer DC, but for now just know that the majority of my discussions will be about DC characters and books.

I should also say from the beginning that I am new to comics. And by new, I mean within the last year. I only recently started reading monthlies, having previously only read trades depending on what I had heard about the storyline and what kind of interest it held for me. I’m always open to new reading suggestions, so if you know of a book you think I would enjoy, then by all means, tell me in the comments.
